Privacy Policy

Gabay is a safe place to read and pray. It is built to keep very little about you, and to keep that little safe.

In short

  • No ads, and we never sell your information.
  • You can use Gabay without an account. Most of what you do stays on your phone.
  • When you ask the AI for help, it gets the passage and your question, never your name or email.
  • You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, any time.

What stays on your phone

If you do not sign in, your reading, streak, notes, saved verses, prayer journal, the names you add to remember loved ones, and your settings stay on your phone. We cannot see them.

If you sign in

We keep your sign-in details (your email and the name on your account), and we save your progress, notes, prayer journal and the names you remember so they follow you to other devices. Your first name and your faith-home choice stay on your phone. We never see your password. A prayer journal can be very personal, so please remember that signing in saves it with us. You can delete it all at any time.

Family circles

If you join a circle, its members can see the first name you chose, your streak, whether you read or prayed today, the prayer intentions you add there and the blessings you send. Nothing else: not your email, reading, notes or journal. When you leave, your name and intentions are removed from the circle.

Reminders

Reminders are off until you turn them on. Then we keep a private address for your phone, your time zone and your chosen hour, only to send them. Turn reminders off and it is deleted.

AI help

When you ask for an explanation, ask Gabay a question, or ask for a plan, the passage and your question (and sometimes your faith-home choice, so the answer is respectful of your tradition) are sent to the AI service that writes the answer. Your name, email and account are not sent. We save the answer to your account so it is there next time. Please do not type private details into the AI.

Payments

If you buy a plan, our payment partner takes the payment and handles tax and your receipt. We never see your card. We keep only what we need to give you your plan: which plan you have, whether it is active and when it renews. On a Family plan, we also keep who holds the seats, so each person gets Plus, and the date seats were given or taken back. A person can leave a seat at any time.

Anonymous totals and problems

To see whether the app works, we count plain daily totals, such as how many people finished the welcome, which kind of link brought a first visit (for example Instagram), and which plan limit people reached. They are not linked to you. If something breaks, the app may send a short error note and the page it happened on, without your account or anything you wrote. Like any website, our hosting records ordinary visit details for security and to keep things running.

Who can see your information

Only you, the people in your family circles (for what is listed above) and the trusted companies that help us run Gabay for hosting, sign-in, AI answers, payments and notifications. They may only use your information to do that job. We never share it with advertisers, and we never sell it. Because Gabay is used around the world, information may be handled in other countries, with the protections the law requires.

Your choices

  • Delete your account: Settings, then Delete account, or see the Delete account page. If you have a subscription, cancel it first.
  • See, fix or get a copy of what we keep about you: write to gabaybible@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days.
  • Turn off reminders in Settings, and change or clear your faith-home choice any time.

We keep your information until you delete your account. Deleted information may stay in secure backups for a short time until it is overwritten.

Cookies

No ads, no tracking. We use a few small cookies that only keep you signed in and remember your faith-home choice, your topics and that you finished the welcome, so pages arrive in the right order.

Children

Gabay is made for everyone from age 3 up, and young children can read and pray without an account. To make an account, ask the AI a question, join a family circle or buy a plan, you need to be 13 or older, or have a parent or guardian do it with you. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think we have, write to gabaybible@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app and update the date at the top.
